I need to scan a long document (8.5 x 23.5) from the feeder.  HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e.  Dropdown only gives me 8.5 x 14.  Can I edit to add custom size?

No.

The feeder supports up to US Legal (8.5 x 14 inch). any longer paper cannot be scanned with the printer.
