I'm trying to create 1 PDF file when scanning multiple pages.  It doesn't have page separaters but saves to my desktop as multiple files.  VERY ANNOYING.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

 

I understand that you want to scan multiple pages to a single file in Mac.

 

This issue could occur if the scan settings are not correct.

 

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

 

And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:

 

1. In HP Easy Scan, select your printer name from the Scanner drop-down menu.

2. Click Scan.

3. Click “Scan Next Item” to add additional pages, or click “Done” once all pages are completed.

4. To save your scans to a folder on the Mac, click “Send” in the bottom right corner of the window, then click Folder.

This is what I was missing:  make sure you select "PDF" in the drop down in the "Save" dialog, then tic "Save all items to a single file".
