M479fdn
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We're using the MFP M479fdn as our network based printer/scanner. When scanning, there's an option to set up a scan profile so it scans directly to a network folder. The files are saved as a PDF. However, when using the auto feed to scan multiple pages, they are saved as a single PDF file. There are times when we would prefer to have each page scanned to a separate file. (Scanning multiple invoices to email to customers for example.) SOME HP software has an option to allow PDFs to scan each page as a separate file. I don't see that option in the M479fdn web interface. Is there a way to enable this capability or to create a scan-to-network profile that will resolve this?

Thanks,

John

I have essentially the same problem with a HP 7740.  I would like to use either the feeder or scanner glass, depending on size and condition of the item scanned.  I am digitizing (scanning) historical documents and photos of different sizes for archive.  These need to be saved as individual files.   "Smart Tasks" in the "HP Smart" software does not seem to support scanning.
