Hi @Roput69,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When you encounter issues where your HP Deskjet 3755 scanner produces a black or blank document on the preview page, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:
1. Check Scanner Glass and Document Feeder
Inspect the Scanner Glass:
- Lift the scanner lid and check the scanner glass for any smudges, dirt, or debris.
- Clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water or glass cleaner. Ensure there are no streaks left behind.
Position of Document:
- Place the document face-down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the corner or edge indicated on the scanner.
- If using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), ensure the document is loaded correctly, face-up, and the edges are aligned properly.
2. Adjust Scanner Settings
Scanner Settings:
- Open the scanning software or app on your computer (e.g., HP Smart, HP Scan).
- Check the scan settings to ensure they are configured correctly for the type of document you are scanning (e.g., color, resolution).
- Adjust settings such as scan resolution and document type to see if it affects the preview quality.
Color and Brightness Adjustment:
- Some scanning software allows you to adjust settings like brightness, contrast, and color before scanning. Experiment with these settings to see if it improves the preview image.
3. Update Scanner Drivers and Software:
- Ensure that you have the latest drivers and software installed for your HP Deskjet 3755 printer/scanner.
- Visit the HP Support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest drivers and software updates.
4. Perform Scanner Calibration:
- Some printers allow you to calibrate the scanner for better performance.Refer to your printer’s user manual or support documentation for instructions on how to perform scanner calibration.
5. Reset the Printer:
- Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 60 seconds.Plug the printer back in and turn it on.Try scanning again to see if the issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
