Product: HP EasyJet Pro 6978
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Since upgrading to MacOS 10.15 Catalina, my HP EasyJet Pro 6978 will only scan from the automatic document feeder, no longer from the flatbed (glass scanner).  If I try to scan from the flatbed, error message comes up saying "Document Feeder is Empty".  When does HP expect to have this compatibility problem between HP Printers and macOS Catalina solved???

Hi,

I don't have any time estimation, HP is working on a fix.

 

You may use Image Capture as a workaround, however, as described below:
