I'm scanning pictures mounted on A4 pages. For every scan, it will push the images down, leaving an empty space on top and cutting off the bottom. More and more for each scan. The only way to reset is to turn the printer off and then on again. I can't find where to calibrate the scanner.

You have a USB under the front panel, scan to USB drive that will eliminate possible printer/scanner from computer-related issues. The scanner is calibrated when powered ON.

Thank you, but this unfortunately didn't solve the problem.

If the scanning to USB also cuts the image from the flatbed glass you will need to get your printer to a repair.

By the way, do you scan from the Feeder or Flatbed Scanner?

If it is from the feeder, it is likely an hardware failure of the paper feed on the top feeder if the same results are given when scanning directly to a USB.

If you scan from the Flatbed Glass, make sure you position the head of the original to the marked corner of the Flatbed glass, you will see a mark on one of its corners, ensure you place the original correctly as the mark shows,
