I am trying to scan to email and get a message that user name and/or password is not correct.  I am unsure how to check to correct this.  I can scan from HP smart. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you.  It is an HP 9010E All in One Printer.

 

What you have provided is very informative.  However, I do not see where to get app passwords in Google.  

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do a search for "App password" under the Google account,
