Hi,
We have always used USB drives to scan documents onto but now every time we plug a USB drive into our printer its saying it has been formatted using a file system that is not supported. We have not touched any of our USB drives or printer settings and cannot figure out why this has now changed. If anyone could give some advice, that would be great.

Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Your printer is not recognizing your USB drives because of an unsupported file system.
To fix this, you need to format the USB drive to FAT32.
First, back up your files from the USB drive because formatting will erase everything. Then, plug the USB into your computer.
On Windows, right-click the Start button and open Disk Management. Find your USB drive, right-click it, and select Format. Choose FAT32 as the file system, check Quick Format, and click OK. Once done, safely remove the USB.
Now, insert the USB into your printer and check if it works. If not, try another USB drive or update your printer’s firmware.
