Scanning to .pdf on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8025

I am not able to create a scanned .pdf file from my HP OfficeJet Pro 8025. A post from last year (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-Copying/HP-Officejet-8025-Scan-from-Printer-to-PDF-Fil...) stated instructions on what to do, however why I type the instructions in my command prompt this is what I get in return:

ERROR: Invalid argument/option - 'icacls'.
Type "TAKEOWN /?" for usage.

Please help!

Strange process ! You have to use the pp from your computer OR use scan option from printer. Please use instructions from the following Guide (page 46)

By default, scan documents will give pdf files.

After the latest upate, my OJ Pro 8600+ will only give PDFs, whether I'm scanning a doc or a photo.  If I try to change the output to JPEG using the dropdown at bottom left, or try to change the filename produced by the app, HP Smart closes and the scan is lost.
