Hi,
@Martinell,
Web scan functionnality (and Vue Scan) works for almost all Hp Printers.
But, you can't scan with Adobe Acrobat or others majors softwares ; a great lack for me.
My quite brand new 7640 in the dust bin ?

PJN

Hi olrik77
Be patient, upgrade on driver will come, until then...
I tried to scan with Acrobat, but it did not work, as you said.
But that will come, as soon as HP updated all drivers, or Apple make an update that recognize the old driver.
Best regards
Lasse

I have an HP C6180 and just upgraded to Sierra and like everyone else, lost all printer and scan functionality via Wireless and Connected ethernet connections.
Then I moved the printer next to my computer and used the USB Printer cable and printing worked fine. I have the 4.0.5 driver for the mac as well.
This will get me by until they release an update.
Hope this works for everyone else, give it a try.

Yesterday I had a support Chat. I was told that new software will be available for the Sierra release "SOON". I replied that "SOON" was not good enough and I was very dissapointed with HP support. That appears to be it for now. Hp seems to be having a bit of a brain fart.

I have had same problem with 8610 all-in-one printer since I upgraded to Sierra. I reloaded all drivers from HP today (16 November), and problem not resolved. I have successfully used Apple Image Capture but am looking forward to a permanent fix from either HP or Apple. Thanks to the person who posted the Image Capture solution.

Did they at least acknowledge that there is an issue with HP Easy Scan and "Scan to Computer" not being compatible with MacOS Sierra? That would be a start! I'm loathe to call HP support and have them spend an hour deleting and reinstalling software only to have the problem remain. The support experiences I have had with them have been horrible.
I am still able to use Apple's Image Capture and really don't see the need to have Vue Scan or other third party software. However, I did enjoy the ability to initiate a scan right from the printer (HP 8710) and have it save to my computer's hard drive (and apparently you have to have a fully functioning HP Easy Scan to do so). That is not possible now on my iMac that is running Sierra. I can still initiate a scan to a Macbook Air (still running El Capitan) and a PC that is 5 years old and running windows 10. But I'm sure the HP support person will say that this is a problem with Apple and my iMac.

Hp acknowledged that there was a problem in that they said that they would have a fix "soon". Before the EasyScan did not work (could not find it)...Today it works...I don't know why. When I tried to use EasyScan before it couldn't find the scanner. What happened? (I'm using my home Wifi). I don't know what issues will come up with the functionality of the
EasyScan as of yet.

EasyScan isnot an option since the photosmart 6520 is about 25 yards away down 20 stairs. is there another option?
@Brandon_Hyatt wrote:Just recently upgraded to MacOS Sierra (MacOS 10.12). Since then, my HP Photosmart 7525 will no longer allow me to save scans to the computer. The Save button is grayed out and unable to be clicked. It will copy, print, and will scan the documents, I just can no longer save them to my computer.
When I go into the HP Utility>Settings>Scan Settings>Scan to Computer, the software scans my system, then gives me an error message that says,
"Scan to Computer Cannot Be Enabled
The HP software required for Scan to Computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device from http://www.hp.com/support, and then try again."
I completely uninstalled the old driver software (which HP says should work on any Mac OS after 10.6) and reinstalled the latest drivers which it says is compatible for 10.11 and later. I still get the same response. Printer will print, will copy, will scan, but not save to the computer.
Yes, I have already restarted one device at a time, and yes, I unplugged and replugged every device in separately.
What can I try next...?
