We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

For a number of years, I have been able to both-side scan on my 6830 using the feeder. Suddenly, last week, this facility 'disappeared' from my computer. I suspect that HP have updated the printer drivers to HP Smart which does not have this facility. Has anyone experienced this and if so, have you overcome this.

I understand you are not able to scan both sides from the document feeder. Were you able to do this automatically without manually flipping the page?

 

Have you tried reinstalling the printer driver on the computer?

 

Perform a clean reinstallation of pre-installed HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 
  2.  Select your HP Printer 
  3.  Select Uninstall 
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’ 
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo. 
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”) 
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab 
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 
  10.  Select Ok 
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try printing and scanning.

Thank you for your response but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. Previously, when double sided scanning, it was necessary to manually turn the pages. If I can explain. Scanning multiple pages, the odd number pages were first scanned and then, after turning the pages, the even numbered pages were scanned. The computer then arranged the pages in numerical order This now doesn't happen.

Yes, this printer does not support auto-duplex scanning. Did you try reinstalling the printer driver?

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

If that did not help, Install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
