Hi @Kismit,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
  • Find your printer's IP address:
    • On the printer, navigate to "Network Settings" or print a Network Configuration Page.
  • Open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.1).

Log in to the EWS:

  • If prompted, enter the credentials. The default username is usually admin, and the password might be found on a label inside the printer or in the printer documentation.

Enable HTTPS:

  • Navigate to the Settings or Network tab.
  • Find the option for Advanced Settings or Security.
  • Enable HTTPS (Secure Communication). You may need to generate or install a security certificate:
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to generate or install the certificate.
    • Once enabled, you might need to access the EWS using https:// instead of http://.

Verify the Secure Connection:

  • Once HTTPS is enabled, you should see a secure padlock icon in the browser's address bar when accessing the EWS using https://.

Adjust Scanner Settings:

  • Return to the Scan settings within the EWS. Ensure WebScan or similar functionalities are enabled and configured.

I hope this helps.
