Hi 

 

I have been using HP App scan for months to scan documents on my MFP 179fnw with no problems and for some reason now when I click on scan the programme closes down.

 

I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and the same problem occurs. Printing is fine.

 

Can anyone advise what else I need to do?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-color-laser-mfp-170-printer-series/244...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
