When I scan a legal document, the scanner only recognizes half the page. It does not recognize the rest of the page if it is blank. Then when I print the document often comes up "landscape."

Hi,

 

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

What's the printer model?

 

During scanning or printing, ensure that Legal size document is selected.  An example is shown below.

 

When using the HP Smart App on the Mobile or Computer, ensure the settings are as follows (Document Feeder and Legal Size) after selecting Scan:

For printing, ensure that "Portrait" is selected so that it will not print in "Landscape"
