My printer saves the document as White Page when I press the Scan to Computer button on the printer. When I scan it with the HP Easy Scan app, it saves the content normally.


Scans white blank pages after user switch to Mac.

 

Set up HP Smart - to no avail.
Removed printer and added Bonjour printer. Without success.
Rebooted and restarted printer - to no avail.

Reset printer to factory settings - without success.

 

 

How can I set it up so that the printer saves pages properly with content again?

I now only made a few settings at Scan to Computer and then it suddenly worked.

That is, the solution to reinstall the software and then change the settings in Scan to Computer apparently helps.

I now saw that many other users already had the problem.

I now additionally tried that the software programs installed from the Mac App Store pushed into the trash and reinstalled from the Mac App Store. Again without success.

I had a similar problem and found a answer on this forum ,I was told to uninstall HP Smart then reinstall it 

this worked for me , its worth a try

Only reinstalling the two software apps did not help at first.
Only when I adjusted the settings, such as OCR language, file type, etc., it suddenly worked.

It also seems to make a difference whether you install the app from the Mac App Store or from the web, i.e. from the HP homepage. The app from the Mac App Store worked better for me.

So the following steps are necessary:

Install from the Mac App Store:
HP Smart
HP Easy Scan

Then adjust the settings in Easy Scan for OCR language and to its individual needs - done.

This is how it worked for me.
