Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Lately, when I scan an 8x10 photograph through the ADF, the output JPG file has a thin vertical line through it.  But if I scan the same photograph on the flatbed glass, I don't get a vertical line on the output JPG file.

 

Does the scanner have different scan heads for ADF scans and flatbed scans? I'm thinking maybe there is a tiny speck of dust on the ADF scan head?  Thanks.
