Setting time & Date on HP officejet 8600 Series

I need to go back and get a fax from previous time (possibly over 30 days) The problem is everything from test pages and fax logs always come up with  a time of 00-00-00 00:00AM?

I have tried setup, tools, and everything else it seems. I can not seem to find any place that sets the time or the date?

It's done using the printer's touch screen.

On the top of that screen, it shows a data and time.  Touch the top of the screen.

Then, another screen will open saying Set date -- with scroll widgets you can use.

Press Next and continue through the screens.

I see no date and time, on the very top it shows web (something) then wireless , eco, colors.

Below is scan , printup, setup,

left arrow, copy, scan, fax,

right arrow auto answer, discover.

I have gone under setup,

tried fax setup and can not find a date/time?

From the touch screen?

Thanks for the help, found it under preferences

Set the date and time

1. On the control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ), and then touch Setup ( ).
2. Touch the Down Arrow ( ), and then touch Preferences .
3. Touch Date and Time: , and then touch the Up and Down Arrows ( ) to set the month, day, and year.
4. Touch Done , and then touch the Return Arrow ( ) to return to the Preferences menu.

Sometimes after all these years of computers and pringers one can feel a little stupid lol 🙂
