HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
macOS 10.14 Mojave

When I select a shortcut on the printer display of my OfficeJet Pro 9015, it shows as default letter paper format. Even though I change it to A4, it still scans Letter format (and cuts bottom part). This has been raised already by other users. Did you find a solution?

This is a blocker issue that makes the feature completely unusable!

@CyberPaul, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

Have you tried scanning from the Mac and check if it scans fine?

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

If the issue persists, delete the shortcut and re-create it. Refer to this document.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Hi Kumar,

Thank you for your kind response. Unfortunately it didn't solve my issue.

When I scan from the Mac it scans fine: the UI shows correctly A4 as a default paper size and it scans the whole page as expected.

I updated the firmware, although I had to use a Windows PC because when I select Mac it does not show the latest firmware! Quite disappointing! And can't understand why.

The issue persisted and I deleted the shortcut and re-created it, but again,  with no success.

When I start the shortcut from the printer I always get Letter as default paper size and even if I change it to A4, it retains Letter internally. The proof is that if I change any other parameter, when the menu takes me back to the options, the paper size is set back to Letter. Please solve this, otherwise this functionality cannot be used.
