MFP M130fw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When clicked shortcut on desktop says "The scanner is currently in use.  Please wait until your previous task is complete and then try again."

I can scan through the device directly and via device when found thru control panel. This started when I stopped a scan in mid task using the cancel button.  It seemed to close with no problems but now I get the above when I use the shortcut.  I can find nothing stuck in any queue.  I have restarted the printer/scanner and also did an unplug.  I even rebooted my computer.  Any suggestions on how to remedy?

@Mickster2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix scanning'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Use the HP Scan Extended app to scan and check if that helps.

Click here to download the app.

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
