Printer 4828
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the inkjet MFP 4828, small useful machine, unless for scanning! Scanning the document appears in the window of HP Smart, I save PDF or JPG doesn't matter, the file size is ZERO ! but why ... all settings are ok, no compression, but the "Save" pop-up also does not disappear.

When i want to go to main menu, despite i saved the document, it says if i want to leave without saving. So HP Smart problem? All updated, printer as well ... what the heck .

Same result if i want to print in PDF the file i just scanned, the Acrobat is not working at all ...

Ok instead of deleting my question, I "fixed" it but would still suggest HP works on the user friendliness of the communication between the Wifi Deskjet 4828 and HP Smart program.

Solution was to cut the power of printer and make it reboot. So now the scan works, when it saves it confirmed that file was saved and correct, A4 Page now about 750KB as it should be. Weird it doesn't work from the start but happy it did as my scan was urgent.

Dear Rodrigo,

Thanks for the flowers.

Follow-up, again scanned now a document, and again zero bytes, "save" window not disappearing. So definitely a problem that HP should address when printer is just in idle aka stand-by and then should scan. It makes empty outputs.

One addition: After rebooting the printer the hard way (plug out and in), AND, rebooting HP Smart software, the result is ok. So really needs to reboot both.

Best regards.

I rebooted my HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 but it still saves the PDF at ZERO bytes.

Please advise.
