Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm a software developer looking to integrate with the scanners such as HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428-M429 f.

 

I'd like to be able to either receive a message in my application when a new file has been written by the scanner, or be able to initiate the scanning process to scan from the document feeder and provide a filename to save to. Other options can be considered depending on the capabilities of the scanner interface.

 

Are things like this possible and can someone point me to the documentation?

I found information on TWAIN and the HP Enterprise MFP install. I will see if I can use this.
