Hi 

I'm having an issue with two M479fdw printers. While scanning or copying documents using the document feeder a stripe appears on files or copies. On the other hand, no stripe shows when using the flatbed scanner. 

 

Usually this happens when there's dirt on the small glass used to read the scanned documents. In this case the glass was cleaned repeatedly without a positive outcome and nothing can be detected on the glass. Nor dirt or a scratch.

 

Did anyone ever have the same problem and has a suggestion? Thanks a lot in advance!

It's the smaller glass clean it again.  Place a sheet with lines on the scanner and the lines on the sheet will align with the dirt that is causing you issues.

Hi @Valsimot

Thanks for your reply. I would say the exact same thing but the glass is clean. I've done the alignment as well just to double and triple check. That's what's driving me nuts!

 

Could it be anything else?

If the copy/scan from the scanner flatbed is without stripes, there is no other logical reason.
