Trying to get my Surface Laptop to access my scanner on the HP Printer.

Step 1: Ensure Full Software is Installed

To use the scanning features, you’ll need the full-feature software and drivers, not just the basic printer driver.

  1. Visit the official HP support page:

  2. Download and install the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw Full Software Solution.
     

Step 2: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

  3. Use the Scan option in the app to access your scanner easily.
