We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I tried to connect my HP ENVY 5070 printer  to scan, but I always see the error.

I tried to restart the laptop, restart the printer, reinstalled the drivers on PC, reinstalled "HP Smart" on PC, tried HP doctor, tried online virtual support. None of these helped. 

 

Could anybody help me out?

 

The scan was working from time to time, I do not know what is the magic to make it work.

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to scan using HP Smart.

 

Try the below suggestions-

 

1)Uninstall HP Smart 

 

2)Install all the available Windows updates

If it is been a while since you updated your Windows, that is the main reason why Windows says your HP printer driver is unavailable. Here are the steps on how to do a Windows Update to install all accessible operating system updates.

 

If you are accessing Windows 10, then these steps are for you.

  1. Hit the Start menu and write an update. After that, click on the “Check for updates” option.
  2. Tap on the “Check for updates” option.
  3. After clicking on that option, Windows will install the updates automatically.
  4. When Windows completes all its updates, start your computer again and attempt to print a file to check if your printer works.

3) try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 

 

4)Reinstall HP Smart from Windows store

 

If the error persists, install the HP Easy Start (under the Software and Utility tab )and use HP Scan to scan a document

Appreciate you timely reply, I followed the steps as you instructed step by step, I am still not able to scan. 

 

Anything else I can try? 

 

BTW, I notice that I can upgrade the OS to windows 11 now, will it help if I upgrade my OS to windows 11?

You can upgrade the windows operating system and then update the drivers on your computer?

 

Were you able to isntall HP Easy Start?

Yes,  I was able install HP Easy Start, it did not help as well. 

 

I will try OS upgrading at the weekend.
