Hi @ILS-SE,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering, ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH, which suggests that the web browser is unable to establish a secure connection to the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) due to outdated or unsupported SSL/TLS protocols. Here are a few steps to resolve this issue:

1. Access EWS using HTTP instead of HTTPS

Many older devices, including printers, may not support modern SSL/TLS protocols. Try accessing the EWS using HTTP instead of HTTPS:

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Type http://192.168.1.210 in the address bar and press Enter.

2. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date, as firmware updates often include security and compatibility improvements:

  1. Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model (LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw).
  2. Download and install the latest firmware update for your printer.

3. Use a Different Web Browser

Some web browsers have stricter security policies than others. Try accessing the EWS using a different web browser, such as:

  • Firefox
  • Internet Explorer (if available)
  • Edge (in Internet Explorer mode)

4. Adjust Browser Security Settings (Temporary Solution)

You can try temporarily lowering your browser’s security settings to allow older SSL/TLS protocols. Note that this method is less secure and should be used with caution:

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and type chrome://flags/ in the address bar.
  2. Search for "TLS" and look for options to enable older versions of TLS/SSL. Set them to "Enabled" if they are not already.

Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar.
  2. Search for tls.
  3. Modify the following settings:
    • security.tls.version.min to 1
    • security.tls.version.fallback-limit to 1

5. Check Printer Network Settings

Ensure that the printer's network settings are correctly configured and that there are no issues with the network connection. Sometimes resetting the printer's network settings and reconfiguring them can resolve such issues.

6. Use Compatibility Mode

If you are using Microsoft Edge, you can use the compatibility mode to emulate Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Edge.
  2. Go to Settings > Default Browser.
  3. Under "Internet Explorer compatibility," set "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode" to "Allow."
  4. Reload the EWS page in IE mode.

Refer to this document: HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Through 8 hours over 3 days trying everything user suggestions from dozens of sites my situation is finally resolved. I used the advice from you to solve the issue. Only after setting Firefox as the default browser suggestions did it work. Thank you!
