Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

The printer came up with the following error code B8331D16 when it failed to scan from the feeder.  The printer was completely locked and I had to power it down.

After that I noticed the scanner light constantly flashing.  I have now got scanning from the feeder working again however it takes through more than one page at a time (tested on a number of documents).

I have carried out the various power off and resets recommended but no change.

Hi @tim213,

I understand your HP 7605 is showing a constantly flashing scanner light and your ADF (feeder) is pulling multiple pages at once. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

1. Power reset with cable reseat
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable from both the printer and the wall outlet.
Wait 60 seconds, then reconnect the cable directly to a wall socket (no extension board).

2. Clean the ADF rollers and separation pad
Open the ADF cover and gently clean the rollers and the small separation pad with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
Allow everything to dry completely before testing a scan again.

3. Check for jammed debris inside the ADF path
Lift the ADF input tray and inspect for tiny bits of paper, staples, or dust.
Even small debris can cause the feeder to pull multiple sheets.

4. Reset the ADF calibration
On the printer control panel, go to Setup → Tools → ADF Calibration (if available).
Run the calibration and restart the printer.

5. Update the printer firmware
Go to Setup → Printer Maintenance → Update Printer.
Install any available updates that address scanner/ADF issues.

6. Try scanning a small test batch
Place 2–3 clean, single sheets in the ADF with no folds or curls.
Check if the multiple-page feeding continues.

I hope this helps.
