The word "VOID" is getting printed in a pdf/image when I scan a document. I don't want it. Please help me with the same!

First of all, when scanning in resolution as high as 300dpi, the document still isn't getting scanned properly. The colors are not accurate. Further, when I scan the documents, some regions are left blank and on those regions, it itself is printing "VOID". Since I am scanning all the important documents, I need to avoid this.

Please help. Thanks to all of you in advanced.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

From your description, it sounds like the documents are protected against being scanned / copied / printed.

Legal documents and / or those from your bank, insurance, or lending company might include this restriction, for example.

Contact the provider of the document(s) and ask for a non-protected copy or ask for other methods to get what you want.

What else?

Most printer's won't copy / scan / print money (currency) at actual color and actual size - doing so is considered counterfeiting even if the act is not unintentional.  There is no workaround.

Try scanning the document as an image and save as a .jpg file.

If the intention is simply to print the content, the file type perhaps won't matter.  Yes, this can make it awkward if the document is multiple pages.

Scanning at a higher DPI is generally only possible when scanning from the printer glass and as an image.

Thanks a lot for such a detailed answer. I think your point about the documents is valid. Maybe they have any such watermarks or so. I'll cross-verify that. Scanning it as an image gave me the same results. It's the documents maybe and not the printer. Irrespective of the problem, thanks a lot to you once again for such help!

@Dragon-Fur is likely correct. Much like the programming in printers so that they recognize currency and will print a warning page if you try to copy  money.
