Hello- When scanning multiple pages to one .pdf, using the flatbed scanner on my HP 7740, I can't switch the originals fast enough before the scanner sends the first page to the computer. After scanning the 1st page, I tell it I have another item to add, and as I'm switching the originals, I get the message that "1 item has been sent to the computer". With my previous printer/scanner, an HP 8600, I had much more time.
Is there a way to increase the time before it sends the current scan to my computer? It's pretty useless to me as it is now.
Thanks!

Hi,
You cannot increase the time, but when it asks if you want to scan additional pages you should press Yes first (if I recall correctly the exact wording), then you should have more time to replace the page and then press the button to scan it.

That's what I've done, & it just doesn't allow enough time, especially if I'm fumbling with a booklet, etc. As near as I can estimate, it gives me 10 seconds or less. I don't understand why there needs to be a time limit at all; seems like poor design to me.
If I need to do multiple pages manually, I can use EasyScan, which works well, but it's an extra step to start the app, set options, etc. The "Scan to Computer" from the control panel is much quicker, but for me at least, it's only useful for single pages.
