Bought this printer a few days ago, got everything set up but it keeps giving me an error saying tray door open.  Checked everything and the door is not open, there is no paper jam.. what do I do?

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you facing a "tray open" error.

 

Try the below suggestions to open and close the tray.

 

  1. Pull out the input tray.

    Pulling out the input tray

     

  2. Slide the paper-width guides to the edges of the input tray.

  3. Insert a stack of plain white paper into the input tray.

  4. Slide the paper-width guides in until they touch the edges of the paper. The stack of paper should slide easily against the guides.

  5. Close the input tray.

  6. Lift the ink cartridge access door by using the recessed areas on the sides of the printer until it locks into place.

    The carriage moves slightly to the left.

  7. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
