I have earlier installed HP Easy Scan but it's features are limited. When trying to install HP Scan, the only download offered is HP Easy Start that only contains the already installed HP Easy Scan but not the wanted HP Scan with full features, especially preview and possibility to select the scanned area.
How can I have both Apps on the same Mac at the same time?

You're most welcome. 🙂
I don't see that there could be full featured drivers developed for this printer for Mac Sierra in the near future. So I cannot make any speculations about that.
However, please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions. Take care!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you would like to use the HP Scan application to scan from your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer. I read that the HP Easy Scan is installed though.
I did some research and found that to have the HP Scan installed, there must be full featured drivers/software installed for the printer. And as of now, there are no full featured drivers for Mac 10.12 for Sierra for this printer. Thus you can either use the HP Easy Scan or the Apple Image Capture as an alternate to scan.
I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. All the best! 🙂

@MKazi
Thanks! This clears but obviously doesn't solve the issue. Any way to let me know directly when suitable drivers are available? I don't have the memory band to keep an eye on every support forum I need being my family's night-time (now midnight) IT Manager beside my day job...😴
Thanks and regards, Mika
