Regarding my HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer. I need an app to do double-sided scanning.

Hi,

Follow HP Print and Scan doctor utility by selecting Fix Scanning, if it is not installed be sure to install your printer full feature software:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

 

As part of the HP Scan software, you may scan two-sided originals.

Thank you, but is there a small application I can use instead of going through the HP Print and Scan Doctor every time.  Currently I use "Microsoft Windows Scan_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App"   It does everything but not 2-sided documents.
