Hello. I'm having problems with Scan to Email and Scan to Computer. I configured these features on my computer and the HP Utility "test" to Email was successful. HP Utilities also indicated that Scan to Computer was successful.  However, when I actually try to scan to email from printer, I receive the error message "An error occurred while sending the email. Please try again." When I try to scan from my computer,  I don't receive an error message, screen reads "Scanning" but does not make any progress to complete the actual scan.  Wireless printing connection is not a problem. Thanks in advance for any assist.

I understand you need support and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:

What's the exact printer model?

Are you able to copy documents?

What's the domain of the email address that you have configured with scan to email. Eg: yahoo.com, gmail.com?

New HP Officejet 6958 when scanning automatically goes into picture mode making the document miniature.  In "Scanned" documents.  It's a document.  Won't print the document.  Then it goes into "Fax" mode with note "1 fax is waiting" again not printing.

It looks like you were interacting with @senan6806, but he is out for the day. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service. 

 

I suggest you Reset the printer back to Factory Defaults and then set it up again

 

1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to see ( Setup ) and touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Tools , touch Restore Factory Defaults, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

 

Also update the Firmware. You can refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

 

Once the printer is back on the Network  refer to Page 31 in this User Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05232470 to setup scan to email or scan to computer
