These new HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M577 MFP are desaster. Sadly my company decided to buy HP.
Fact: It is not possible to scan with this crap vie Digital Image, HP Easy Scan or some other App. Even VueScan does NOT work with this device. Having had a discussion about 4 Hours with support (the lady was very, very patient, i was very upset and frustrated) finally scanning to network folder was placed. Anyway - this is not the solution. We want to connect the printer to an USB port and scan with an Application. No cloud. do data to HP. Someone said, there are "hidden switches" to maintain my wishes. But he didn't say which ones... 😞
Has anybody good news?
Thanks in advantage...

The M577 is an Enterprise product and as such will allow you to scan directly to a folder on your computer or a network folder with no data going outside your network and once configured it is the fastest and easiest way to get scans done. No app to launch, just walk up press the scan to folder on the control panel of the printer and your scan is done. No they do not scan via USB, buy a home level product if you want to do that.
type the IP address in the address bar on your browser and then go to scan/digital send>quicksets and create a new quickset.
