Hi @MJ0047,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing difficulties scanning from your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw to your computer or network file, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to address the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Verify that the network settings on the printer are configured correctly.
  • Confirm that there are no connectivity issues between the printer and your computer.

Update Software and Drivers:

  • Make sure that you have the latest software and drivers installed on your computer. Visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the HP website. This tool can automatically diagnose and resolve scanning issues.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can interfere with the scanning process. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and see if the issue persists.

Scan to Computer Settings:

  • Check the scan to computer settings on the printer. Make sure that the correct computer is selected as the destination for scanned documents.

Network Folder Settings:

  • If you are scanning to a network folder, verify the folder path and permissions. Ensure that the printer has the necessary access rights to write to the destination folder.

Reinstall Software:

  • Uninstall the existing printer software on your computer and reinstall it. This can help resolve any corrupted installation files.

Wired Connection (Temporary):

  • If possible, try connecting the printer to your computer using a USB cable. This can help determine if the issue is related to the wireless connection.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can address known issues and improve overall performance.

Remember to perform these steps systematically, checking after each one to see if the issue has been resolved.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

According to one of the replies to my question, HP in September decided to stop supporting the feature in question.  Is this correct?

Did HP give you a solution? For me, after a hour of discussion, they explain that it was because of Apple. I solved the problem by coming back to an oldest firmware, where the function was avalaible.
