HP 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had both a MacBook Pro and HP 6600 all in one (printer/scanner/Fax/copy) for several years and have been able to print, copy, and scan without issue.  I recently downloaded OS 10.15.7 on my MacBook Pro and suddenly am unable to scan.  Initially I would get the following message:

"HP Scanner 3" will damage your computer

After downloading the HP software and attempting to scam from that, I wasn't even able to open the utility.  I received the following message:

"HP Utility" will damage your computer

I'm baffled as to why, after several years, I'm unable to use the scanner function.  Has anyone else with a MacBook Pro who has downloaded OS 10.15.7 reported this problem?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues scanning from your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you able to print from the computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you use the HP Smart App to scan. Refer to the below article for detailed steps.
