At one time someone from HP Support helped me install HP Scan and Capture on my system. It works well but for some reason Settings will no longer work. When I click Settings nothing happens. I was thinking to uninstall and reinstall it to see if this would fix the problem. I cannot figure out how to uninstall it. HP Scan and Capture does not appear under Programs and Features as a program. How can I either 1) get Settings to start working again, or 2) uninstall HP Scan and Capture so I can reinstall it?

I ended up using IObit Uninstaller to unstall HP Scan and Capture. Unfortunately, after re-installing it I still have the problem with Settings not working, I click on the Settings button, the blue settings area opens up, and the screen flashes, but no settings are shown. It turned out I already have HP Smart on my system so I am using it now for scanning.

Hi,

Uninstalling such a modern up oddurs from the Start Menu, not from the control panel.

Click the Search icon and typ HP, then right click on HP Scan and Capture and select Uninstall. be sure to confirm any prompt.

Next from the search icon local and open the Store app and reinstall HP Scan and Capture, or alternitavely you may install HP Smart which provide similar functionality.

I searched for HP Scan and Capture but on right click there was no uninstall choice. I have never run into a sitution before where I had a program on my desktop that I can't seem to find an uninstall option for anywhere. The HP Scan and Capture shortcut also doesn't point to a file path on my system for the executable. Under properties for target it shows "AD2F 1837 HPScanandCapture_v10z8vjag6ke6A!...". The last part of the target is truncated. I don't know what this means because usually the target for a shortcut is a direct path to the executable like this for Excel ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\EXCEL.EXE"". So I can't figure out where the actual executable is for HP Scan and Capture.
