Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro to replace an older MacBook Pro computer.  After downloading the HP driver for my Officejet Pro 8600, I tried scanning, but the MacBook Pro only sees my Officejet Pro 8600 as a printer.  I cannot get the scan function to work.  Can anyone recommend a fix for this?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scanning issue. 

 

HP Easy Scan is currently not fully compatible with macOS Catalina. We're actively working to restore complete functionality.
Scan using Apple Image Capture as a workaround.
