Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Following the instructions from the thread that is closed with the same title, I find that setup goes West after running ps804.  It never gets to opening a browser window or the help error.  I tried compatibility settings on the setup.exe for XP sp3 but no difference.  I also tried different default browsers to see if that might be locking it up, but that did not help.

 

I also tried VueScan from Hamrick, that also did not recognize the S20 regardless of whether I used the Microsoft USB scan driver of the Hamrick Photosmart driver.

 

I thought maybe I could bring this out of an old drawer and start it up again, but I guess not.

(I do own it but HP doesn't show it as a valid serial)
