I have an HP Color Lasert jet Pro MFP M283cdw printer/scanner. This week, when I scan a document, the scanner is adding vertical line about an inch from the right edge of the document on all pages of the document. I have tried cleaning the glass surface of the scanner and other directed areas to no effect. I don't see a way to "calibrate" on the printer although I understand that is an option for some printers/scanners. It seems I either need to calibrate the inside of the scanner or clearn the inside of the scanner. I tried calling HP support, but that was a failure as my product is outside the warranty period. What can I do to get rid of the vertical line that is being added to the documents when the documents are scanned in?

I fixed it using comments on other similar issues. Specifically, printing a page with the line and then lining it up with the smaller glass and finding the culprit. It was sneaky and small and avoided regular cleaning. I had to scrub harder and use more precise scrubbing to get it to go away.
