1.  Online warranty check shows that my warranty expired in March 2022.  However I purchased the printer new from a store in August 2022.  How do I fix that.

 

2.  The main problem comes when I scan from the printer, the program shows a complete scan, but when it it transferred to a file on my computer all that shows up is a blank file.  How do I correct the problem.

First, clarify the warranty claims with the seller. The way you described it, in fact your printer is out of warranty, you bought a used printer without warranty.

I purchased a new printer, in a sealed box, from a reputable store (Fred Meyer/Kroger).

If you failed to register your purchase when made then the expired warranty ID due to the fact that the warranty start date is still based on date of manufacture not purchase date. You can try registering your product here https://register.hp.com/.
