I assume you still have this printer and iOS

You are scanning to an email account where the scan gets emailed?

 

If the account requires two step authentication then you need to use an app password for the phone, printer, or application.

For g.m.a.i.l network https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en

for at&t network https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1240462/

 

at&t and **bleep**  g.m.a.i.l are the only two I have had to do this to
