Hi All. 

 

I recently purchased my new HP Envy Pro 6420. I used to only switch it on until I subscribed to the HP Ink Service, which apparently required an always-on printer (which I did). At the end of the day, I got into my office and found my printer doing this. Does anyone know what error causes this (because it looks like I got every error imaginable). Thanks.

HP DeskJet, ENVY 6000, 6400 Printers - Blinking Lights

 

Not sure what "all lights" indicates - the document does say there should be some kind of error (E) code.

 

What to do?

 

HP Printers - Printer Turns Off Unexpectedly or Repeatedly

Step 2: Restart the printer

Step 3: Update the Firmware

 

 

Use Embedded Web Server (EWS) to find your printer's Firmware version

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Tools > Printer Information > Firmware Version

 

Example - EWS - Extract the firmware version from the full firmware version information.

Firmware Version

MANHHIPP1N001.2010A.00

 

If the firmware on the printer is older than the firmware available in Category Software and Drivers > Firmware, consider updating the firmware on the printer.
