I have the 'Smart Scan' software installed on my computer. Have never, ever had an issue with it until recently, . I am scanning multiple pages. The 'add' function does appear (always has in the past) Following my first scanned page, it does not appear on the screen. We purchased this printer in 2021, I understand its out of warranty, the printer works fine, its your software that has forgotten how to perform. I attempted to get a 'live' person but the AI can't understand English of which I speak perfectly without any impediments. So, how do I resolve the 'Smart Scan' issue? I have unplugged the printer for a few minutes to reset. However, the issue is with the 'Smart Scan' app which is installed on my computer. There are no updates either.

Hi @marlor,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having a frustrating experience with the Smart Scan software. Given that you've already tried some troubleshooting steps, here are a few more suggestions to address the issue:
- Restart Smart Scan: Close the Smart Scan application completely and restart it. Sometimes, a fresh start can resolve minor glitches.
- Reinstall Smart Scan: Uninstall the Smart Scan software from your computer and then download and reinstall the latest version from the HP website. This can help if the software has become corrupted.
- Check Printer Connection: Make sure your printer is properly connected to your computer and network. Sometimes, connection issues can affect software performance.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e installed. You can download them from the HP support website.
- Check for Conflicts: Make sure there are no other scanning applications running that might be interfering with Smart Scan. Sometimes, conflicts between software can cause issues.
- Test with Another Device: If possible, try using Smart Scan on another computer to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to your computer or the software itself.

I hope this helps.
