When I scan from feeder it won't crop together for one email

When I scan several documents, it scans them all but won't let me have all in one file to email. It used to do this, also if i click on the individual document it shows that document but when I save to computer it only saves the first document no matter which document is highlighted to save.

 I have removed and replaced the app on laptop and reset factory defaults on 8710 officejet pro.

I think I might not understand what you are doing.

Observations

If you are using the Printer to scan , the options are limited to those in EWS > Scan to Email > Settings / Email Options and / or the printer touchscreen control panel menu.

Please describe the options you see and where you believe the process is failing to collect the scanned content into one file.

If you are using EWS > Webscan, there is no extra software used - the settings for Webscan are limited to those found in the Webscan setup menu.  There is no option to save individual documents from a stack in the ADF.

You might force HP Smart to separate pages scanned in the ADF into individual documents -- it's a bit of work but it can be done. 

Please explain your setup.

Normally, if you use the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) and HP Smart, the completed scanned pages will save into one document.

If using HP Smart to Scan > Optionally Edit > Done > Save and then Share -- to Email

Then

The procedure to "Save" should be completed before going "Back" to "Share" (to Email).

Please explain your steps and where you believe the process is failing.

If you are using HP Scan (scan software part of the Full Feature Software)

Then

• Yes, it is possible that the settings are adjusted to save each page as an individual document.
• Yes, if each page is saved as an individual document, the Email as PDF process won't catch any except the first document.

Basics

Uninstall the full driver printer software from Programs and Features

Restart computer and Sign in

Install a new copy of the Full Feature Software

Restart computer and Sign in

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.
