HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

I have been trying to send a fax- when I preview the document on my end it looks okay but when I go back and look at the document after it was sent it appears blurry, is there a way for me to fix this?

Hi @D-M2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your faxes are coming out blurry on the recipient's end, but they look fine on your end, here are a few steps you can take to address the issue with your HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer.

Check the Quality Settings:

  • Make sure that the fax quality settings are set to the highest possible resolution. You can adjust these settings from the printer's control panel or the software on your computer.

Inspect the Fax Machine's Connections:

  • Ensure that the phone line is properly connected and that there are no loose or damaged connections. A poor connection can sometimes cause fax quality issues.

Clean the Scanner Glass:

  • Dirt or smudges on the scanner glass can cause poor quality scans and, consequently, blurry faxes. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the glass thoroughly.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. HP often releases updates to fix bugs and improve performance. You can check for updates through the HP Support website or the HP Smart app.

Test with Different Documents:

  • Try sending a fax with a different document to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with a specific type of document or with the fax machine itself.

Adjust Fax Settings:

  • Some printers have options to adjust the contrast and brightness of the fax. Check if your printer’s settings allow for adjustments that might improve the clarity of the sent fax.

Check the Paper Quality:

  • Make sure that you are using good quality, clean paper. Poor paper quality can sometimes affect the clarity of faxes.

Verify the Recipient's Equipment:

  • Occasionally, the issue might be with the recipient’s fax machine rather than your own. If possible, ask the recipient to check their machine or try sending a fax to a different number.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
