OfficeJet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recent windows updates requered updating files shares to SMBv3.  But now Scan to Network Folder no longer functions.

Saying "enable SMBv1" on all devices is not really an option.

It is time that HP updated there products to support this, including "older" products.  SMB 3 has been around since 2012. In my opinion, given that the last firmware update fo my OfficeJet was in 2018, there is no excuse for SMBv3 support not be there already, and the matter should be addressed (by providing suitable firmware updates).

If you agree with me - please support this post to help motivate HP to take action.  This will demonstrate HP really does take customer security seriously.

Depending on the age of the device it may never be updated to SMB V3. Some security updates and upgrades are only available on newer machines or Enterprise Class products. The 8600 is not on the list that will be updated.
