Hello @OneNation1, and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 is saving each scanned page as a separate file instead of combining them into a single PDF, this is usually due to the scan settings or software being used.

Here are a few ways to scan multiple pages into a single file:

Option 1: Use the HP Smart App (Recommended for Windows/macOS/iOS/Android)

  1. Download the HP Smart app from your device's app store:
    Windows
    macOS
    Android
    iOS
  2. Open the app and click the Scan tile.
  3. Place your document in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) or on the scanner glass.
  4. Choose Document as the scan type and adjust settings if needed (resolution, color, etc.).
  5. After scanning the first page, click + Add to scan more pages.
  6. Once all pages are scanned, click Save, choose PDF as the file type, and save the file.

Option 2: Use HP Scan Software (Windows)

If you installed the full HP software suite:

  • Open HP Scan from your Start menu.
  • Select Document to File.
  • Choose PDF as the file type.
  • Enable the option "Scan multiple pages into one file" (usually under Advanced Settings).
  • Place your pages in the ADF and click Scan.

Option 3: Scan from Printer Control Panel (if supported)

Some models allow scanning directly to a USB or network folder as a single PDF:

  1. Insert your pages into the ADF.
  2. On the printer touchscreen, select Scan > Scan to USB/Network Folder.
  3. Choose PDF as the format and start the scan.
