Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi HP
I have installed the Google Drive App onto my HP Envy 5646.
Good.
I have successfully uploaded documents. And can also print them.
But...
How can i find these documents in my Google Drive ? (on PC etc)
Is there a hidden folder somewhere?

Okay! Resolved

The problem stems from the fact that I first signed-up to Google using my personal domain email address.

myname@mydomain.com

At a later date I upgraded to a gmail account.

myname@gmail.com

It is essential to use THIS identity for the files to be accessible outside of the HP system.

This was really important to me as I am planning to scan thousands of documents and want them to be available to share.

For users only scanning a few doucments, this probably is not such a big deal.

Thank you MKazi for your help

I understand that you have installed the Google Drive App on your HP ENVY 5646 e-All-in-One Printer. You have successfully uploaded the documents and can print them. I read that you would like to find these documents on your Google Drive on a PC. I'll surely assist you with this.

Firstly, you should be using the same Google Drive account to access it elsewhere (support you know this already). Please open your Google Drive on your PC. Later, lookout for any folder by the name of HP or with your printers name. The files should be present in one of those folders.

You may also refer to this link for more information on the Google Drive App.

I hope this information helps. Let me know. Cheers! 🙂

Hi MKazi
Thanks for taking the time to reply but unfortunately your advice has not assisted me to resolve the issue.

I think the root of the problem might be that while my Google email is myusername@gmail.com

The HP printer Google App auto-assigned an email in this format...
my-username-1234@pages.plusgoogle.com

I have looked thoroughly through my files and folders but have not located the uploads.

😞

@Blubo

You're welcome.

Seems like the username is the issue. The documents get saved to the @pages.plusgoogle.com and not the gmail.com.

Because if the documents were to get saved to your Gmail then definitely would be viewable otherwise.

If possible you may check with Google on how to access the files which are saved in the @pages.plusgoogle.com domain and let me know the outcome. I'll also try to perform a research. I'm always here to help. Thanks again. 🙂
