Thank you for being a part of HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I got to know from your post that you are looking for the WPS pin for your HP Officejet 6968 printer. There are two different kinds of WPS pin's, we can use WPS to add the printer to a network or to a Windows 10 PC.

Are you trying to connect the printer to your home WiFi or are you trying to add the printer to your Windows 10 PC?

Let me know!

I am trying to add it to a windows 10 pc.  It connected and printed the first time but now everytime I want to print, it is offline.  I want to delete it and add it again but it wants the wps pin.  I read that it is 8 digits but I cannot locate it anywhere.  Thanks

Where can I find the wps pin for my 6968 printer?

I have lost the ability to scan, so I am trying to reinstall the printer.

I am trying to reload, as I have lost the ability to scan (I can still print, so I know it is connected to the network).

@ChubbyGrandpa, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Try the steps below-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any printing/scanning issues.

For more information, go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor

If the issue persists, I'd like to know the following for further assistance-

Is there any error message when you try to scan?

What is the Operating System installed on your computer?

Have you tried using the HP Smart App to scan?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
