I am beyond annoyed since I upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 11 I am now required by HP Smart to login to an HP account to scan a document. First, I did not have to do it before and I get no benefit and in fact annoyance. Second, I find it very "Big Brother" and intrusive that HP needs to be informed that I am scanning anything. I am not scanning anything bad just regular stuff. Third, if there is any connectivity issues then in effect my scanner is broken. In effect making a product that I paid for and could use worthless.

So, I have begun to inform all my friends to avoid purchasing HP Printer/Scanners. My apologies for this and I do not wish HP harm but you decided to make such an egregious change and make my scanner worthless.
